She watched everything this person did, from initial preparations, through marketing and negotiations, all the way to the closing table. Even then, Joy had the natural confidence to know she could do it better.

Her tenacious self-assurance lit a spark that, harmonized with a sincere, empathetic approach to others and an innate drive to be forever learning, steadily grew into the world-class force that continues to this day as a standard bearer for excellence in real estate on the Monterey Peninsula.

For 20 years, she and her daughter Jen have shattered records, broken barriers, and collected countless awards through the diligent service of buyers and sellers, who represent family to them. Joy’s colleagues have affectionately crowned her “Queen of the Highway 68 Corridor.” To them, she is a fierce competitor, yet always a kind friend. Originally having gone to school for nursing, Joy is the ultimate caregiver. She handles the goals and aspirations of her clients as caringly and perceptively as she would those of any parent, patient, child, sibling, or best friend.

Having studied and worked around the world, from San Francisco to Rome, Jen Jacobs ultimately decided she wanted to raise her two boys near her family in the place where she grew up: the incomparable Monterey Peninsula. A graduate from Stevenson High School, she knows the intricacies of this idyllic area inside and out, and she has been sharing them with her clients for more than 20 years as a top-producing real estate agent on The Jacobs Team alongside her mom, Joy.

Jen prides herself on being a “Type A” personality. In her mind, failing to plan means planning to fail – and failure is simply not an option.
