Real estate is deeply personal. Behind every transaction is a story.
I’ve learned that true success in this industry comes from staying fully committed to each client in a way that recognizes and honors that story.
It’s different for everyone. Some have clearly articulated investment goals. Others have long-held dreams of living a particular kind of lifestyle in a specific community. Every day, I meet buyers and sellers who are navigating major life transitions, hoping to become happier and more fulfilled versions of themselves in the process.
My job is do absolutely whatever it takes to make that happen: anticipate needs, overcommunicate, solve problems before they arise, and show up with integrity every single day, no matter what.
It all started with marketing. I ran my own agency and loved helping clients tell their stories visually. Eventually, I found myself drawn to real estate marketing: prepping homes for sale, staging, and experimenting with novel technologies to creatively convey the lifestyle promises inherent to each property. Growing up on the Monterey Peninsula gave me a unique advantage in grasping how innovation could intersect with timelessness. That’s an appreciation I carry with me to this day as part of The Ruiz Group, a team I saw embodying these values for years before I joined.
I know what it takes to build something from nothing. During the pandemic, I grew a real estate brand from scratch in Oregon, where I met one of my favorite clients. She was an elderly veteran. I sold her home for a record-breaking price, but I was also there for the heavy lifting, literally helping her pack boxes and move out.
We beat out multiple offers to win her next two homes. She’s now living her ideal lifestyle on a peaceful homestead where she raises chickens just like she and her husband always talked of doing together.
In total, I helped this person move four times. Today she feels more like a family member to me than a client. And I think that’s how it should feel if you’re doing this job right. It’s not just about buying and selling homes, but about walking alongside people as they piece their lives together, doing whatever it takes to help them land where they truly belong.
As for me, I’ve learned that I belong on the Monterey Peninsula. It’s what I know the best – and what I love the most. I make it a priority to enjoy everything this area has to offer, especially the restaurants and hiking trails. Carmel Valley is one of my favorite spots to reset and reflect.
